About Your Teacher
Meet Sterre, an experienced and versatile tattoo artist with nearly 4 years of dedicated work in the industry. She began her professional journey at a busy walk-in studio in the centre of Amsterdam, where she mastered a wide range of tattooing techniques—from delicate fineline work to subtle shading and vibrant color pieces. This experience gave her a solid foundation and the flexibility to handle almost any style that came her way.
Now creating at Club FrouFrou, Sterre has cultivated her own unique approach to tattoo art and enjoys sharing her knowledge with others. She is skilled in both machine and handpoke methods and is passionate about helping her students with mastering the essentials and feeling comfortable with making forever art. With Sterre as your guide, you’ll learn everything you need to grow as a tattoo artist in a supportive, fun, and inspiring environment.
Sterre speaks Dutch and English
Meet Julia! She’s originally from Germany and has been tattooing since 2020. Like many, she started out tattooing at home and after some practice landed an apprenticeship in a studio in Utrecht, where she was able to further develop her work. She prefers handpoke tattooing because of the more organic look and the usually less painful, slower process. Her tattoos reflect her illustration work - little animals, plants and all things cute and a little weird-looking.
Julia believes in an inclusive approach in the tattooing industry and likes to share her knowledge with those seeking an introduction to handpoke tattooing without pressure. At the same time, she is aware of the high standards of hygiene and safety and would like to share the basics with those interested to make (beginner) tattooing more safe. For Julia, tattooing is all about safety, creativity, connection, inclusivity and fun!

Hi, I’m Nadine, a tattoo artist who discovered her true calling just before turning 30. With over 2,5 years of experience, I’ve been bringing delicate designs to life through fine line botanical tattoos and minimalist ornamentals. While those are my specialties, I believe learning never really stops. That’s why I constantly try out new styles and techniques to keep growing as an artist.
Now I’d love to share what I’ve learned with you. Not just the technical skills, but also the exciting moments and challenges which you will encounter along the way.

That’s completely normal! In early sessions, you’ll practice on synthetic skin to build your confidence and skills. By the time you move to tattooing on real skin, you’ll feel more prepared.
15. Are the lessons in Dutch or English?
The lessons are conducted in either Dutch or English, depending on the teacher and the students in the workshop:
-
Julia: All her classes are conducted exclusively in English.
-
Sterre: She can teach in both Dutch and English, and the language of the class depends on the students. If there is a student who does not speak Dutch, the workshop will be conducted in English.
So, if you're with Julia, the class will always be in English, and if you're with Sterre, it adjusts based on the group's language needs.
